Social Studies
We will continue to talk about winter and how it affects us and our world.
Math
Learners will continue to compare U.S. coins, recognizing that each is different. Learners will also collect, sort, and organize data into three categories in order to create real object and picture graphs. Learners will draw conclusions from the data.
Reflex Math - Each learner came home with his/her log in information for Reflex Math. This is a program designed to increase fact fluency. We will be practicing how to use this app in class but it can also be accessed at home through the app or website. This is NOT mandatory for kindergartners to do at home as addition and subtraction are not officially introduced until the end of the school year.
Home Activity - Show your child a set of coins including a nickel, a dime, and a quarter. Have him or her tell you the name of each coin and describe how the coins are alike and how they are different.
