Social Studies
We will talk about winter and how it affects people, animals, and our world.
Math
Our new math unit is money. Learners will be expected to identify pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters by size and details. Kindergartners will be exposed to the values of the coins and counting the value of a set of coins but are not expected to do this independently until first grade.
Reflex Math: Each learner will be coming home with his/her log in information for Reflex Math. This is a program designed to increase fact fluency. We will be practicing how to use this app in class but it can also be accessed at home through the app or website. This is NOT mandatory for kindergartners to do at home as addition and subtraction are not officially introduced until the end of the school year.
