January 22nd - January 26th
What is happening next week in kindergarten?
****A note from PE:
All students must wear tennis shoes on gym days. With the weather turning colder, many students are wearing boots. Boots are not permitted in the gym because of the traction on the floor. Anyone now wearing tennis shoes on PE days will not be allowed to participate for the day. This will ensure the safety of all learners. Thanks so much!!
Upcoming Dates
February 14th - Valentine's Day Parties 2:00 - 3:00. All parents are welcome!!
February 22nd - Dr. Rozas visits kindergarten to talk about dental health
Next week.....

Social Studies
Math
Learners will continue to compare and identify U.S. coins, recognizing that each is different. We will also start our Financial Literacy Unit where we will learn difference between earning money and receiving money as a gift and that we use money we earn to pay for items.
Home Activity - Talk about ways your child could earn money as income such as doing chores around the home or for neighbors. Please also show your child a set of coins including a penny, nickel, dime, and a quarter. Have him or her tell you the name of each coin and describe how the coins are alike and how they are different. Thank you for your help!
Reflex Math Each learner came home with his/her log in information for Reflex Math. This is a program designed to increase fact fluency. We will be practicing how to use this app in class but it can also be accessed at home through the app or website. This is NOT mandatory for kindergartners to do at home as addition and subtraction are not officially introduced until the end of the school year.
