Our first writing journals came home this week.  We hope you enjoyed looking through them and marveling at the progress that they have made.  Wait until you see what we can do with our new lined journals!  We are AMAZING!!!!!

Social Studies
We will continue to learn  about different land forms on the earth and where you can find them. We have some great vocabulary to go with this unit of study:  peninsula, valley, bay, island, volcano, etc.

Math
We will continue to make comparisons while we measure.  We will also collect, sort, and organize data in order to create real object and picture graphs.  Learners will draw conclusions form the data they collect.

Math Home Activity
Have your child compare the weights of two household objects.  Then have him or her use the terms heavier and lighter to describe the weights.

Science:
We will be researching animals and sorting them by their unique characteristics, such as body covering, number of legs, habitats, etc..Learners will also sort pictures into self selected groups on characteristics then describe how they sorted them.
