September 4 - 8


Upcoming Dates

September 4th: No School (labor day)
September 7th: Picture Day

Next week.....
Language Arts
We will be continuing to write in our journals.  We are working on writing the date, illustrating a picture, and labeling the parts of the picture.  We are also reviewing letters and sounds. 

Social Studies
We will be talking about different jobs in our school and learning what each person does for our school and us.  

Math
We will continue our math unit by exploring the numbers 1-10.  We will be able to describe a number in several different ways including saying, writing, diagrams, and pictures. We are also practicing counting forward and backward 1-20

Science
We have a fun week planned for exploring how scientist use their senses and how to use science tools appropriately.  We will be making observations and collecting data, too!


Don't Forget to send in....
 homework paper that includes your child's picture
blue medical cards
yellow technology and code of conduct sheets
change of clothes in zip lock bag to keep at school
water bottle (spill proof) and snack each day

  1. I love reading about the upcoming events and seeing the photos of the past week.

    Is it possible to label photos of which class is shown? Last week my son pointed at a picture saying it was his, but I couldn't tell for sure. Although I know this might take some time, it would be nice to share when he gets to have a spotlight moment. I'm hoping we can share it as a family since it seems kind of like a newspaper for him.

    Thank you for taking the time to keep a blog and we appreciate the dedication of time you are all conrtributing (both inside and outside of school). We are looking forward to the next posts! :)
